DESCRIPTION:ACPE Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP) Training\nLevel 1\, 15 hours by Zoom beginning May 2\, 2026 \nWhy:    Recent research demonstrates the importance of recognizing and working with spiritual issues that clients inevitably bring to psychotherapy\, yet many psychotherapists do not have the training and confidence to deal with spiritual or religious issues without promoting or imposing their own beliefs and values. \nWhat:  ACPE: The Standard for Spiritual Care and Education\, (www.acpe.edu)\, drawing on the wisdom of seasoned clinicians and faculty in accredited Pastoral Counseling and Psychotherapy degree programs\, has created an in-depth 30-hour (in two 15 hour levels) training program in Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy (SIP).\nThank you to Crossroads of Caring\, Inc.\, Rochester\, NY for assistance in promoting this training. \nWho:    Licensed and pre-licensed psychotherapists\, counselors\, mental health/ health professionals\, case managers\, substance abuse counselors\, etc. \nA detailed SIP Training description is found here:\nhttps://acpe.edu/education/psychotherapy/spiritual-integrated-psychotherapy \nCE information is listed at the registration site:\nhttps://sip-com.wildapricot.org/event-6451647 \nFollowing completion of Levels 1 and 2 of basic SIP training\, Individual and group consultation with SIP Trainers is available for those who wish to become SIP Certified by ACPE. \nWhen:  Five 3-hour sessions for Level 1\, May 2\, 9\, 16\, 2026\n(See detailed schedule below) \nSIP Trainer: Wayne E. Gustafson\, DMin\, LMHC\nDr. Gustafson is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in NY.
